Greenslopes Cottage Extension
Post-War Cottage
Architecture | Interior Design | Landscape Design
Project Summary
This post-war cottage in Greenslopes was short on space and required an extension to accommodate a larger family. As a masonry structure, the existing cottage was not suitable for a lift, and build under approach, and so, with ample room at the back of the property, the design proposes an extension to the rear instead. The extension itself is modern and distinguishes itself from masonry cottage. The floor plan consists of open plan living; kitchen, dining and living areas opening onto a wide outdoor deck. The feature of this extension is the high raked ceilings with exposed rafters.
